About Simon

Simon Tyler is one of the world’s leading business coaches who has helped business leaders and owners make life easier and more successful, he is an incisive consultant, inspirational writer, provocative public speaker and master facilitator.

As of the end of September 2009 he has coached 499 people on a one-on-one basis, and trained a further 482 to coach, clocking up 2,780 hours of coaching.

So, what’s got Simon here?  A few ingredients of his life, that give you a hint on his make up:

  • His father was blind, proud and determined, yet more often bitter and angry
  • He always seemed to do well (at school, college and sport) but never quite as well as he’d thought possible
  • Five years at ICI launched him into the worlds of corporates, of sales and of marketing.
  • Sales Rep days of cold calling and pleading for sales appointments were gruelling but unforgettably stretching experiences
  • 3 years working for the late Phillip Carter at Carter & Carter taught him about time, what can be achieved with it and how to value it.
  • Scott Wintrip (Simon’s first coach) opened his ears & eyes and ignited his coaching engines.
  • Working with Kate Duffy and Joanne Dunleavy on the Attitude Vitamin project taught him more in 1 year than all the previous years combined
  • A wonderful family life  with Sally and his 3 children, living on a farm in Wiltshire, provide a dream grounding base camp
  • He notices great things every day, that have always been there, he just never saw them.

Since 2002 Simon has coached over 500 people on a one-to-one basis, clocking up more than 3,000 hours of coaching, placing him among the most experienced coaches in the world.

A master in behavioural change, he has developed his own unique way of facilitating, shaped and influenced by many inspiring colleagues and friends, for which is is eternally grateful.
